Introduction
Formed in 2016, Industrial Equity, LLC ("IEL") is a California Limited Liability Company ("LLC"), which invests in the stocks and bonds of under-appreciated U.S. companies. IEL aims to purchase securities at a significant discount to intrinsic value, estimated by Graham & Dodd fundamental analysis, and to hold them indefinitely.
The inspiration, and name, come from Industrial Equity Limited, which grew from a small listed company in 1966 into the fifth largest public company in Australia by 1987, mostly through buying good businesses and undervalued stocks.
IEL is private, and likely to stay that way. However, for educational and interest purposes, from time to time IEL will publish and describe securities it has purchased, and the rationale for doing so.
